-Pray for our pulling together a plan and teaching our co-ops every Tuesday at Global Mission Church. There are two four hour sessions: kindergarteners in the morning, and elementary, middle school, and high schoolers in the afternoon.
-Pray for the battle to encourage fathers in leading their families in a culture that keeps them on the corporate treadmill. Can we see a supernatural shift begin somehow?
-Pray for organization for the team here. There is too much going on for proper support and planning (not to mention the language barrier). Pentecost is needed!
-Pray for our family. Every hand is needed to be self-directed, enthusiastic, patient, and resourceful. Pray we would practice what we preach by keeping our home worshiping, learning, and loving.
-Pray that Susanna’s scoliosis would not progress and that the brace would be effective.
-Pray for success in learning the Korean language. We had our first lesson on October 14 from a lady who has taught Korean in America for a number of years. The plan is to work with her and three Korean college students every Saturday. It is very difficult and slow learning. Pray for dedication and endurance.
-Pray for safety from North Korean threat. Pray that South Korea would be wise in the way they deal with their neighbors in the north. They have a desire to bless the North Koreans; pray that God would open doors for them.
-Pray for us as we have a major decision to make this month. Global Mission Church is requesting that we stay at least another year. They have been very good to us, and this is a significant opportunity as they have planned major growth in order to be a National Model and Resource Center for this education alternative. They believe this is a critical time nationally. We need God’s wisdom regarding whether this is His calling for our family.
-Pray for healing for Susanna’s scoliosis. The curve of her spine is continuing to increase in spite of bracing. Pray that the doctor here would have wisdom in treating her.
-Pray for Timothy as he prepares to give the keynote speeches at the Korean National Homeschooling Conference in January 2008. Pray that he would have wisdom regarding what to communicate to these families.
-Pray that the North Korean refugee (who came to know the Lord during the time Timothy was tutoring him) and his family would be established in their faith and in their new life here in South Korea.
-Pray for the North Korean refugees who Timothy, Catie, and Gabriel work with every week.
-Pray that the non-Christian spouses of home schooling parents would come to know the Lord.
-Pray for Cheol Hi and his family as they continue to minister in a Muslim country. They have also been asked to develop ways to support the growing list of Korean homeschooling families who have now gone out as missionaries. Pray for the development of international resources to be able to transport what these homeschooling families have learned to other families wherever they relocate as missionaries. Pray for us (since we are supposed to oversee this ministry if time permits) that we would have wisdom in developing this ministry.
